Livestock Team Places Second

The Riverside FFA Chapter Livestock Judging Team placed second at the West Tennessee Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event on November 6, 2008 at the University of Tennessee at Martin.  Team members ranked breeding and market classes of beef, sheep, and swine, gave oral reason to defend their decisions, graded a class of feeder calves, and conducted a keep/cull team activity.  The team will advance to the Livestock Evaluation CDE held at the Tennessee State Fair in September 2009.

Soil Judging Team Competes at the State Level

The Soil Judging Team placed fifth at the Tennessee FFA Association State Land Judging CDE on November 3, 2008.  Team members evaluated four soil profiles and classified them based on their on suitability for agriculture production and home site development.
